Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Boosterroles Discord bot, its web dashboard and the website at boosterroles.com (together, the "Service"). By adding the bot to a Discord server or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please remove the bot and stop using the Service.

1. The Service

Boosterroles is a free Discord bot that lets server boosters create and manage personal custom roles, and rewards members who wear a server's tag with self-assignable roles. The Service is provided through Discord's official API and a web dashboard.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and meet Discord's minimum age requirement to use the Service, in line with Discord's Terms of Service. By using the Service you confirm that you comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

3. Acceptable use

• You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Discord's Terms of Service or Developer Policy.
• You may not attempt to disrupt, overload, exploit, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorized access to the bot, the dashboard or its infrastructure.
• You may not use the Service to harass others, distribute harmful content, or abuse Discord's role or permission systems.
• Server administrators are responsible for how the bot is configured on their server, including which roles it may create or assign.

4. Permissions & role hierarchy

The bot requires the "Manage Roles" permission to function. For the bot to create, edit, assign or delete roles, its own role must be positioned above the roles it manages. You are responsible for configuring your server's role hierarchy and permissions correctly. We are not responsible for misconfigurations on your server.

5. Availability & changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, free of charge. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and the Service may experience downtime, maintenance or bugs.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, data loss, or loss of roles, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your server. We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Service for any server or user that violates these Terms or abuses the Service.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
